Installation Notes
ACTentry V-IP Door Entry Panel
Mount on a wall near the entrance point
and in a sheltered location
Sink or mount onto the mounting surface
at a height which puts the camera lens at
eye level
ACTentry V-IP Control Unit
Mount in secure place with an Ethernet
network connection point in close
proximity, no greater than 100 metres
from the door entry panel.
A 12 Volt DC , 1 Amp power supply is to
be used to power the unit and the door
entry panel audio and video module’s.
The door entry panel and the unit are
to be wired together using one CAT 5
twisted pair Cable. Audio and mic must
be on one pair and video and 0V on
another pair.
The VIP can be configured with a static IP
address for the LAN or get it’s IP address
from the DHCP server.
ACTentry V-IP Software
PC should be connected to a TCP/IP
network.
Install on any PC where the user is
expected to answer calls and allow
access to the building
Use the CD provided to install the
software.
ACT PC Handset
Mount the PC Handset in a location that
is easily accessible and unobstructive for
the user.
ACTentry A10 Door Entry Panel
The unit should be mounted on a wall
near the entrance point, and in a sheltered
location
Remember to place the supplied varistor
across the terminals of the door strike coil
to protect the relay contacts
Never use the on-board relay to switch
AC mains voltage. An external relay,
electrically isolated from the ACTentry A10
should be used for this purpose.
Remember to change the programming
code
ACTentry A10 Door Intercom
Handset
The ACTentry Door Intercom Handset
(handset) operates from 12 Volt AC or DC
The handset is designed to be wall
mounted in a convenient indoor location
For optimum speech clarity, it is strongly
recommended that this system should
be installed using twisted-pair telephone
cable.
Up to a maximum of 4 handsets may be
installed per Door Entry Panel
The maximum distance between the Door
Entry Panel and the last handset is 100
metres.
